A Day in Coffs Harbour AbFab Tour

Departing Grafton for a one-day trip to beautiful Coffs Harbour (Coffs).
Our first stop is to visit the Coffs Jetty precinct, Coffs Harbour Mariner – which boasts of being one of only 6 International Customs clearance marinas in NSW.

Breathe in the fresh air as you walk the jetty and view the pristine beaches, boats, harbour, the city and the mountains. You may choose to sit and relax at the cafe/kiosk, ‘Daze Coffee by the Sea’ in the new Vendetta Community Building.

Be immersed in the rich history as you gaze at The South Solitary Island Lighthouse Optic.

Then we will make our way south, off the big roundabout near the Racecourse, to enjoy a couple of hours to stimulate our sense of humour at the National Cartoon Gallery – AbFab Tours always strives for destinations just that little bit different and the National Cartoon Gallery promises to deliver:

The National Cartoon Gallery in Coffs Harbour is the ONLY Cartoon Gallery in Australia and one of only about twelve worldwide. It has the country’s most extensive collection of cartoons, and its exhibitions regularly feature works from many of our leading cartoonists. There are two separate galleries in the new building, and the original one started life 80 years ago as an Air Force underground bunker in WWII. Few wartime bunkers are still in service, making it a truly unique experience.

As well as seeing some great art, you can enjoy a cup of coffee and a snack in our Gallery Café or on our terrace with a spectacular view over the city. There’s also a well-stocked shop with lots of unusual items to buy.

WELLNESS WHIMSIES EXHIBITION: Wellness Whimsies is a collection of cartoons by various Australian cartoonists inspired by the theme of healthy living. The cartoons are humorous and relatable, showing the joys and challenges of pursuing a wellness lifestyle. The exhibition complements the Awakening Needs exhibition by Linda Nolan, which explores the universal human needs that drive our actions and emotions.

The Grandparents Club – a Comedy Musical at Coffs Ex-Servicemen’s Club. ‘Finally, a show that celebrates Grandparenthood! 90 minutes of pure joy that is hilariously funny and touchingly authentic. Written by comedy legend Wendy Harmer with toe-tapping, sing-along music from John Field, this show understands how truly Grand life can be!
Join Lynne McGranger (Irene of Home and Away), Laurence Coy, Andrew James and Meredith O’Reilly in a whirl of stand-up, send-up and song as they share their hearts, stories and mishaps over coffee… or was that a gin… in the famous Grandparents Club’.
